I remember driving to school as a teenager, and becoming mesmerized by the morning sky. The passing landscape would fall in line with the beat of whatever music I had playing on cassette, and the cool morning air would carry my thoughts away. Absorbing all the beauty seemed an insatiable feat.
On those mornings, I usually didn’t make it to school. Instead, I’d pass by and continue driving until I ran out of highway. This song takes me back to that feeling of needing to capture all the beauty of the early morning before the day stole it away.
