Earlier this year, I discovered the book, Attached, by psychiatrist and neuroscientist Amir Levine and Rachel Heller. It was an eye opener to understand the science behind the three adult attachment styles, and how my tendency to be anxious in love has impacted my relationships.
Fortunately, many changes I had already begun to implement in my life—most significantly, nurturing and prioritizing self love—had (unknowingly) led me to a partner who’s secure attachment style is a perfect match to mine 💕
Even so, the information in this book increased my consciousness to old triggers that can lead to anxious behavior. I highly recommend this read to anyone who’s been challenged in love.
