Sounds easy enough; Except, to go from where we are, to where we want to be, we must first be willing to dislodge from a comfortable footing, and step out onto the unknown, which is often a terrifying proposition. However, until I make that first step, I can’t imagine what will lie before me.
I liken it to the decision to tear up an old carpet, in an unfamiliar home. Although I hope what lies underneath, is beautiful hardwood flooring, the options for new flooring won’t be entirely known, until I make the first tear. Similarly, sometimes change doesn’t develop by the adding of something new, but rather from the removal of that, which no longer hydrates our spiritual well-being.
