Pictured here, is our cat, Zoey, and Claire’s guinea pig, Cow. Claire is my son’s girlfriend, who visits often; Most of the time with Cow in tow. Now, Zoey isn’t very fond of Cow. She can be persnickety and temperamental, as most calico cats are, and prefers her own space.
Zoey doesn’t like most humans much either, but whenever Claire is around, she seeks for her attention. On this day, Zoey wanted a spot beside Claire, more than she wanted to put up resistance to Cow. So, she conceded to share a space, where they both could appreciate Claire’s gentle spirit and peaceful energy, together.
The lesson…We can spend our time resisting the things we prefer not to have in our lives, or we can learn to be more tolerant, so we can spend more time enjoying the things we love. The choice is always ours.
