I used to give much attention away to worry. As I naively believed worry could better prepare me for future scenarios. Until, I began to consider the effort I put into preparing for scenarios that either never occurred, or resolved by a situation that I could not have foreseen.
I became more aware that when I worry, I only consider the worst that can happen; When life is full of unexpected and often unimaginable delights.
Today, when worry creeps in, I consider if there are any actions I can take immediately to prevent concern. If there aren’t any, then continued worry only creates a problem when there isn’t one; And, further directs energy to unfavorable scenarios.
Besides, I have many delights to be thankful for, that I couldn’t have once imagined 🙏
